Don Anderson PT
Donald Anderson, PT, is a physical therapist at Methodist Physicians Clinic Regency. He completed his training at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston.
Anderson specializes in outpatient orthopedics and enjoys helping patients with a variety of ailments: sports and spinal injuries as well as a host of postsurgical issues.
“This often means helping them help themselves by educating them about their condition and teaching them ways to reduce or eliminate their pain and improve their overall function,” Anderson said.
Anderson’s interest in physical therapy started in college. He was majoring in biology when he responded to a note on his dorm bulletin from an elderly stroke patient who needed help with his physical therapy exercises. Anderson was trained to help him walk and stretch. He also assisted him with other exercises. That’s when he considered making a career of it.
Anderson enjoys attending sporting events, golfing, reading, working in the yard, traveling, spending time at the beach and being with his family. He is a proud grandfather, food pantry volunteer, active church member and owner of a large collection of fossilized shark teeth.
