Mark Carlson M.D.
As far back Dr. Mark Carlson can remember, he always wanted to be a physician. Growing up in Cozad, Nebraska, his family frequently saw a doctor that made a very big impression on him. This doctor not only provided quality care, but he went beyond a consultation room and formed long-lasting friendships with his patients.
Wanting to be like him, Dr. Carlson decided he would pursue the medical track and attended medical school at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. During his rotations, he fell in love with obstetrics and gynecology, and chose to specialize in it. He later completed his residency at the University of Kansas. Today, he is an OB-GYN at Methodist Physicians Clinic.
The single best thing I get to do is I get to be the first person to touch a baby in its new life and give that baby to a loving family.
Much like the doctor from his youth, Dr. Carlson loves to meet new people and form new relationships. In order to provide exceptional care to patients, he believes it is necessary to build a foundation of trust. He strives to have open communication with patients, and ensures each person has an active participation in their treatment.
In his free time, Dr. Carlson loves finding new and exciting recipes he and his wife can cook. He also loves spending time outdoors as well being an active member of his church.
