Physician Q & A

Why did you decide to become a physician?

I came from a medical family. My father was a pharmacist and my mother a nurse. I was able to see how people could be helped and knew from a very early age that I wanted to be a physician. I love helping people and helping people help themselves.

What are your clinical areas of interest?

I love delivering babies and enjoy following families through their entire lives as their primary care provider. I enjoy laparoscopic surgery as well as vaginal reconstructive surgery for pelvic prolapse or urinary incontinence problems.

What is your philosophy of patient care?

I treat people how I would like my wife or daughters to be treated. People look to me for advice. Although I can not make health care decisions for people, I feel it is my responsibility to make sure people are well informed so that they may make good decisions for themselves.

How do you spend your free time? (family, hobbies, interests, volunteer activities, etc.)

I love spending time with my wife and children. I enjoy golf and attending or watching sporting activities. I am active in our church and the Bennington Community Foundation. I help out at numerous school activities that the children are involved in.
