Why did you decide to become a physician?

I loved math and science in school and I wanted to help others in need. One thing about medicine is it is always challenging.

What are your clinical areas of interest?

I enjoy working with all ages of patients, but I am especially interested in internal medicine problems.

What is your philosophy of patient care?

I make sure that the patient is the boss. I present options and let the patient decide the treatment plan.

How do you spend your free time? (family, hobbies, interests, volunteer activities, etc.)

I enjoy restoring and tinkering with older automobiles.

Provide an interesting anecdote about you.

I am blessed to work in my hometown where I grew up. When I first moved back to town, if I did something that someone didn’t agree with, he or she would call my parents to complain!
