William Weidner M.D.
Dr. William Weidner knew from very early in his life that he wanted to be a health care professional. His father was a pharmacist and his mother a nurse, so he was exposed to patient care from a young age.
Intent on taking after his parents, he set out to become a physician, completing both medical school and his residency at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. Today, Dr. Weidner is an OB-GYN at Methodist Physicians Clinic.
I think of love as another word for care—treating people how you would want to be treated…I think that’s what people should expect and that’s what they should receive.
Dr. Weidner emphasizes respect for not only his patients, but for everyone. His philosophy in life is to treat people the way he would want his wife and daughters to be treated. He believes the most important way to demonstrate the upmost respect for patients is to keep them well informed, so they can make good decisions regarding their health.
In his free time, Dr. Weidner enjoys spending time with his family. He is very involved in his children’s school, often lending a helping hand in their numerous school activities. He is also an avid sports fan, attending and watching sporting events as well as playing golf.
