Megan Prickett M.D.
As a young girl, Dr. Megan Prickett was convinced she wanted to be a health professional. Caring for many pets in her life, she initially wanted to be a veterinarian. It wasn’t until college, however, that she directed her focus toward caring for people. Spending time as a medical technician for an oncology department, she fell in love with patient interactions, and it ignited a desire to become a physician.
Intent on becoming a doctor dedicated to women's health, Dr. Prickett completed medical school at the University of Nebraska Medical Center and her residency at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. Today, Dr. Prickett is an OB-GYN at Methodist Physicians Clinic.
It is a gift to go home at the end of the day and feel that you made a difference in someone’s life.
One of the most fulfilling aspects of Dr. Prickett’s job is developing lifelong relationships with patients. She loves being involved in a woman’s life from childbirth and beyond. She believes building these relationships, however, begins with a strong foundation of mutual trust and communication. As a physician, her role is to be encouraging and to act as a resource for patients to make smart decisions about their medical care.
In her free time, Dr. Prickett enjoys being outdoors. She loves staying active, frequently going on runs with family, friends, or her dog. When she is not working towards better physical health, she works on DIY and home improvement projects.
