Why did you decide to become a physician?
Growing up as a kid, I saw how much my siblings and uncle enjoyed their profession as physicians. That early influence prepared me mentally to be a doctor. It's one of the best decision I have made in my life.
What are your clinical areas of interest?
Being a perinatologist, my main area of interest is complicated pregnancy and prenatal diagnosis. From early on, I have taken a special interest in fetal echocardiography.
What is your philosophy of patient care?
Education, compassion and appropriate care.
How do you spend your free time? (family, hobbies, interests, volunteer activities, etc.)
I love to travel. Besides that, I love to play ping pong, tennis and pool.
Provide an interesting anecdote about you.
Prior to my training in OB-GYN and Maternal Fetal Medicine, I did finish three years of residency training in family medicine. That training did really prepare me to be a better perinatologist.
