Certified Hand Specialist, Hand & Upper Extremity Splint Fabrication, Stroke & Neurological Disorders
Bachelor of Science, Occupational Therapy - Creighton University, Omaha, NE
What made you choose a medical career?
I had an interest in the medical field for a long time, but was unsure what I wanted to do. My mother, now a retired RN, helped me look into physical and occupational therapy. When I heard more about the occupational therapy program offered at Creighton it seemed like a really good fit with my areas of interest. All these years later I am constantly learning new things related to the field of therapy and I love it!
What are your clinical areas of interest?
Orthopedic and neurologic issues which affect the function of the upper extremity, especially the elbow, wrist and hand. I enjoy a very wide variety of diagnoses and like the variety of issues I can work with in the clinic.
How do you spend your free time? (family, hobbies, interests, volunteer activities, etc.)
I enjoy being involved in a variety of activities with my three children, also quilting, cross stitch, gardening and reading.
